Why use a brokerage service?
Apartment Savvy offers knowledgeable agents who will drive you to the apartments of your choice and help you navigate through available listings. Apartment Savvy’s leasing agents and managers do this on a daily basis so they know specific deals that are available to you as a renter. We also have keys for many of our properties so we can schedule when it’s convenient for you. This allows you to see multiple properties during your time with us instead of seeing the same number of properties over several days.
How does finding an apartment work?
Our professional agents will Listen to what you are looking for, Search through all of the available listings, Drive you to the properties, and Find your next apartment!
Is your service free?
Yes! Management companies and landlords pay for our services to find qualified tenants.
Will you drive?
Yes. Our licensed leasing agent will drive you to all of the apartments being shown through Apartment Savvy.
Are your leasing agents licensed?
Yes. All of our leasing agents are licensed.
Should I make an appointment?
While you don’t need an appointment and walk-ins are welcomed, to make the most of your time it is helpful to setup an appointment in advance.
What types of units are available to renters?
Units range from studios to single family homes and high-rises to lofts to walk-ups and everything in between. We work in all Chicago neighborhoods.
When should I begin my search?
Usually the best time is 30-60 days in advance of your move date.
What should I bring with me if I decide to apply for an apartment?
Photo ID, form of payment, check stubs (can be printed from our office if you have them online).
Can I lease an apartment for less than 12 months?
Although most of our leases are for a full year there are opportunities for shorter term leases.
Can you help me it I have bad credit?
Yes. We work with many different landlords who have different expectations of their tenants’ credit. Often we can work with you to find a good fit.
What if I have pets?
There are definitely units that accept pets although the majority does not.
How long will the appointment take?
Appointments vary in length but typically we recommend putting aside 2-3 hours.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday through Friday 8:30am - 8:00pm
Saturday 9:am - 6:00pm
Sunday 10:am - 6:00pm
At Apartment Savvy we are also able to make arrangements for prospective tenants if they need to schedule an appointment during off business hours. We are here to meet your needs.
